Best finish of 2007, so far - Sunday, March 25, 2007
MADEIRA, Portugal -- Five birdies in his final round helped Notah Begay III offset a pair of double-bogeys and earn the 1st-year European Tour member his best finish of the 2007 season at the Madeira Islands Open BPI.
His final-round 74 landed Notah in a tie for 37th place - his best performance in a Tour event since last July's Top 10 finish at the Buick Championship in Connecticut.
The only American in this week's field, Notah earned $6,141.82 USD for his efforts over the weekend and snapped a streak of two consecutive missed cuts. He has made the cut in three of his five European Tour events this year.
Notah will be back in action next week at the Estoril Open de Portugal.
