RENO, Nev. -- Looking to snap a pesky missed-cut streak at the Reno-Tahoe Open, Notah Begay III used his past week off to work on his short game in preparation for this week's PGA Tour stop at the Montrêux Golf and Country Club, which begins play on Thursday. Winner of the inaugural Reno event in 1999, Notah earned his first PGA Tour title and a check for $495,000. Since then, however, the Stanford graduate has struggled on the beautiful mountain links en route to missing four consecutive cuts from '03-'06. Listed among the PGA Tour's most accurate players off the tee this season with his driving accuracy at nearly 70-percent, Notah will continue to practice his short game and putting in hopes of working his way to another magical week in Reno. Be sure to check back with Notah.com to follow NB3 in his quest to earn a fifth Tour victory.
As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
www.nb3consulting.com and I encourage you to spend some time on it if you have the chance. NB3
