Notah to play Adam Beach Golf Classic - Thursday, August 16, 2007

DULUTH, Minn. -- Adam Beach, of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit fame, is proud to announce the next Adam Beach Golf Classic, presented by the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. The dates of the tournament will be August 19-20, 2007 at the Black Bear Golf Course in Carlton, Minn. The Golf Classic will benefit the Fond du Lac Native Veterans and the Adam Beach Endowment for the Native Arts (ABENA). "I am excited about our partnership with Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa for our second bi-annual golf tournament." Beach said. "This two-day event will support the Fond du Lac Veterans and youth scholarships for the performing arts. We are pleased to have 4-time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III join us, along with comedian Don Burnstick and the music of Derek Miller. This is a special event that supports our tribal nations, our elders, our youth and our economies." Fond du Lac Tribal Councilwoman Karen Diver echoed Adam's remarks. "The Fond du Lac Tribal Council and the Fond du Lac Veterans Committee consider it a privilege to co-sponsor this event with the Adam Beach Endowment for Native Arts." Diver said. "We are honored and excited to be sharing our facilities with Mr. Beach, Notah Begay III, Don Burnstick and Derek Miller. The Fond du Lac Nation believes this will be a successful endeavor that will benefit all the recipients of both our organizations." Mr. Beach went on to thank the Fond du Lac Tribal Council, the Veterans Committee and the community for their support. According to Mr. Beach, "Acting has been a positive experience in my life and these series of golf tournaments will support tribal enterprises, promote the game of golf to our youth and create more opportunities for others to pursue their dreams!" The Adam Beach Golf Classic is seeking additional sponsors along with individual golfers for the tournament; more information is available at www.beachgolfclassic.com.

As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
