Next Up: New Mexico Open - Tuesday, September 04, 2007

MESCALERO, N.M. -- For the second consecutive year, Notah Begay III's playing schedule includes a step away from the PGA and European Tours to play in the New Mexico Open, which begins play this week at the beautiful Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort. Winner of the 1998 NMO, Notah finished second last year by one stroke to Australian Richard Swift, who earned $11,500 for his victory. Swift has since earned his way onto the Nationwide Tour and finished fourth at this year's Cox Classic. Notah has fond memories of the Inn of the Mountain Gods course, where he won the Wendell Chino Golf Classic at 12-years old and the Ruidoso High School Golf Invitational as a senior. Be sure to check back with Notah.com to follow NB3 in his quest to earn a second New Mexico Open title.
As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
www.nb3consulting.com and I encourage you to spend some time on it if you have the chance. NB3
