PREVIEW: Turning Stone Resort - Friday, September 14, 2007

VERNON, N.Y. -- It's just about time for the 2007 PGA Tour Fall Series and the Turning Stone Resort in New York is ready to prove itself once again as one of golf's most gracious hosts. "Turning Stone Resort did a tremendous job hosting the B.C. Open in July (2006) with just two weeks to prepare," said PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem in an article on PGATour.com. "Our players, staff and officials all came away impressed with the course, the resort and the individuals that helped make this event happen in such a short amount of time. We are delighted that this partnership will allow the creation of a new event that we know the market will embrace." The first of seven tournaments in the Fall Series, next week's Turning Stone Resort Championship, hosted by the Oneida Indian Nation, will provide a $6-million purse for the field in this year's event. Notah Begay III, ambassador for the Turning Stone Resort, is back in the field after a week off from his playing schedule. Also among those vying for next week's first-place prize are John Daly, Stuart Appleby, Rich Beem and Corey Pavin. Be sure to check back with Notah.com to follow NB3 in his quest to earn a fifth PGA Tour victory.
As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
www.nb3consulting.com and I encourage you to spend some time on it if you have the chance. NB3
