NB3 Signs with San Manuel thru 2007 - Wednesday, February 08, 2006
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Notah Begay III reached an agreement with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to renew their relationship through 2007. The two-year agreement renewal allows for Begay to continue to serve as a brand ambassador at all tournaments, appearances, press conferences and other related PGA Tour and tribal events.
As The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians continues to diversify its economic portfolio, the Tribe will include Begay in a variety of ways to promote their efforts in and around the San Bernardino community as well as around the country.
"The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is committed to participating in the Native American community and standing behind Notah Begay III in his continued success on the PGA tour," said Deron Marquez, Chairman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
Begay, who is playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, could not have been more excited about the opportunity to continue to represent such a forward thinking tribal nation.
"San Manuel continues to set the bar in Native America by creating new business opportunities for its community members and the surrounding non-Native community of San Bernardino," Notah said. "As the only full-blooded Native American on the PGA Tour, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be associated with a tribal nation that continues to do so much good work in Native America."
