Notah picked to win B.C. Open - Thursday, July 20, 2006

VERNON, N.Y. -- Due to his solid play on the PGA Tour recently, Notah Begay III is starting to draw the attention of the golf media, as two of six writers at PGATour.com picked Notah to win this week's B.C. Open.

According to Joe Wojciechowski, PGATour.com's Senior Editor, "He's been near the top of the leaderboard in the opening rounds, but has struggled on Saturdays and Sundays. Call it a hunch that this is the tournament he brings it on the weekend as well."

Last week at the John Deere Classic, Notah spent some time at the top of the leaderboard with a good first round before missing the cut on Friday.

"Forget the missed cuts and look at the T9 at the Buick Open," says Melanie Hauser, PGATour.com Correspondent. "It's been a long road back and this guy can play. Wouldn't get a whole lot better than seeing Notah and Tiger - buddies from way back - win the same week. Trust me. It would be special for them, too."

As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
