PREVIEW: Xerox Classic - Monday, August 07, 2006

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- If the statistics hold true for Notah Begay III at this week's Xerox Classic, the Albuquerque native should enjoy a good weekend on the links at the Irondequoit Country Club.

Notah has played five of his last six rounds under par and hasn't missed the cut at a New York tour event since 2003. Having made 7-of-9 cuts on the 2006 Nationwide Tour, Notah sports a 6-2 record against the cut for pro tour events in the Empire State.

The par-70 Irondequoit golf course opened in 1916 and is considered a relatively short course on tour with a total of 6,720 yards.

Be sure to check back with Notah.com to follow NB3 in this week's event.

As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting.  I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects.  My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first.  We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
