PREVIEW: Euro Tour Final Stage - Friday, November 10, 2006

SAN ROQUE, Spain -- Over the next six days, the 155-person field at the Final Stage of the European Tour Qualifying School will compete for the Top 30 spots, which earn membership onto the Tour.

After the first of six rounds, Notah Begay III is resting comfortably in a tie for 28th place with an opening-round, even-par 72.

"It was a very tough day with winds blowing all day between 20-30mph," Notah said of Thursday's first round. "Last week's windy conditions enabled me to be better prepared and I handled the conditions well, making birdie on two out of my last three holes."

Notah's second round is scheduled for 9:40 am local time on Saturday.

"Due to the heavy rains, only half of the field played (Thursday) with the other half scheduled to play (Friday), giving me a day off to practice and rest," Notah said. "The mental energy required to play in tough conditions makes you tired and it's up to me to be ready for another challenging day on Saturday."
