Spectacular Third Round - Saturday, November 17, 2007
MCKINNEY, TX - Notah Begay III stepped up when it mattered most and put himself in a great position heading into the final round of the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School. The new Dallas resident fired a four under par round of 67, the lowest score of the day in the entire field, on another windy day in Texas.
Notah drained a couple of long putts to start the round with two birdies on the first two holes and never looked back. With only one bogey on his scorecard, Begay moved from T29 to T7 and only five shots off the lead at TPC Craig Ranch.
"This golf course is hard," said Begay after signing his scorecard. "I made a couple of twenty-footers for birdie to start the day and really played some solid golf. I need to go out there tomorrow and finish the job as there is still a lot of work to do, but I put myself in a good position today"

As some of you may know, I have a golf course design consulting firm called NB3 Consulting. I started NB3 Consulting in 2002 because I wanted to work with Native American tribes on golf course development projects. My goal, as always, is to bring the best team possible to the table and to keep the interests of the community first. We just launched the NB3 Consulting website,
www.nb3consulting.com and I encourage you to spend some time on it if you have the chance.
